A Trusted Firm Entering Its Next Chapter
Established in 1967, Sharrock Pitman Legal is a respected, Melbourne-based commercial law firm with decades of experience advising businesses, individuals, and not-for-profits. Known for their practical, client-first approach, the firm has evolved steadily over time, growing both its team and its service offering.
As a repeat client, Sharrock Pitman Legal’s move to a new office marked an important milestone: an opportunity to create a workplace that reflects their history while supporting their future.
A Familiar But Forward-Looking Fitout
The move to a new office wasn’t about reinventing Sharrock Pitman Legal - it was about evolving the workplace in a way that felt authentic to who they are. We were tasked with creating a fitout that could:
- accommodate a growing team,
- preserve continuity with their previous space, and
- integrate the firm’s contemporary green branding.
The new workplace needed to feel unmistakably Sharrock Pitman Legal, a flexible office environment aligned with their values.

Blending Continuity with Change
The design carefully weaves together elements from the firm’s previous office with the opportunities offered by the new space. Select existing furniture was retained and thoughtfully recontextualised, a deliberate choice by the client to think and act sustainably. This had the added benefit of preserving continuity with their previous location, ensuring the new space still felt like home.
This sense of continuity is balanced by a refreshed material palette - crisp whites, warm timber finishes and layered greys - used to define zones and support clarity throughout the floorplan. Black accents provide a unifying thread, adding contrast and visual cohesion across meeting rooms, work areas and shared spaces.
Sharrock Pitman Legal’s contemporary green branding is introduced with restraint, appearing in joinery details and soft furnishings rather than dominating the space. This measured approach reinforces professionalism while giving the brand a quiet presence throughout the office.

Spaces Designed for Focus, Flexibility and Growth
The new office provides a balanced mix of private offices, collaborative zones and shared spaces, supporting both focused legal work and team interaction. The spatial planning allows the firm to operate efficiently today while remaining adaptable for future expansion.
Every decision - from materials to layout and finishes - was made with longevity in mind, ensuring the workplace can continue to support the firm as it evolves.
