We completed a simple, yet stunning office fit out solution for a small space in Richmond. The existing office design of our client Shopping Links, needed to be reconfigured to allow staff members to have a large meeting space, a private call area and open plan workstations. The space we had to work with was very narrow, but we managed to accommodate all aspects of the brief in this recent office fit out in Melbourne.

New Building

The building is part of a newly built corporate drive, with a red brick façade and black trims it is a modern industrial haven. It was important we had the exterior of the building flow to the interior. We like to look at things as a whole experience, it is the small subtle connections that make a space have a sense of continuity.

The Inspiration

The inspiration for the interior architecture was derived from the combination of both a modern sleek look while playing off the industrial surrounds. A mixture of both allowed us to provide the client with a high-end feeling space while tying into its surrounds.

Open Plan Workstations

The open plan workstations were relocated to the first floor of the tenancy, which allowed us to enhance and utilize the use of office space downstairs. The perfect opportunity arose under the open riser of the staircase. With precision, we designed a private workspace which allows the staff to be able to make a private video or phone call. All walls and ceiling of the booths are cladded in an acoustic panel to trap noise. An added feature is the sliding barn door if you need some natural light or perhaps additional privacy you can slide the barn door across the booths accordingly.

Paneled Glass Partitions

The large boardroom with paneled glass partitions allows the space to flood with natural light. The angled wall to the boardroom not only allowed a 10-seat table to fit with comfort but enhanced the unique design of the space. We cladded the ceiling with MDF panels to slightly lower the ceiling to subtly separate the space.The balcony was fitted out with stunning pots and furniture to allow for another breakout space and for the tenancy to be used to its best ability.

Overall, the result was a sleek, semi-industrial office fit out that is flexible and comfortable within its different workspaces even though small on size.

The best part about completing this office fit out was to recognise how much we assisted this company to be able to be more efficient in their day-to-day work life by providing design advice and guidance

Design Phase

Our Consultant and Designer meet with you to discuss your business fitout needs and get a clear perspective on your vision. We will discuss your requirements and what challenges you are currently facing with your workspace; whether it’s a size issue, a functionality improvement or simply a workspace update, we will work with you to find the most suitable commercial fitout solution for your requirements and budget.

Proposal

We prepare proposals based on the brief from the initial meeting where we go through and plan the look and feel of the proposed business fitout project. This is where we get feedback from you so we can proceed to the next step. We offer cost effective solutions for an affordable fitout, so your budget is always top of mind.

Site Commencement

All costs are agreed upon during this stage and the outline of the project and timelines are discussed. We organise all relevant permits to be approved and issue you with a final Construction Set, Fixtures and Finishes Schedule and a Project Schedule.

Construction

We carefully source and recruit the right contractors for each fitout construction job. We work with our team of Designers and suppliers to ensure consistency across the look and feel of the project, and conduct weekly site visits with you so you can check in on the fitout and how it is coming together.

At completion, we conduct a handover to you after ensuring you’ve had a thorough walk through of the new space and make sure you are happy with your completed project. We continue to work with you to take care of any additional needs and ensure they are resolved in readiness for your relocation.
