A Touch of Gatsby for Supra Capital

A classy art-deco theme with accents of masculinity such as rich timber tones, antique brass finishes and corrugated glass, might sound like a 1920s movie set, but is exactly what sets the scene at Supra Capital’s offices in Armadale ­– one of our most recently completed fitouts.

We were asked to create a commercial office fitout with a sense of sophistication. The biggest challenge we had was finding the right balance for the style – trying to really push that classy art-deco feel in a corporate office environment.

Our client had a few ideas but gave us a lot of creative control and after we had a look at a few spaces with similar themes, we had a pretty good idea of what we wanted to achieve.

Corrugated glass screen

The purpose of the corrugated glass was to achieve a sense of privacy between the utilities area and the boardroom. The glass panels run floor to ceiling and are encased by an antique brass finish, adding to the overall aesthetic. We used a solid brass panel to break up the glass and tie in with the overhead pendant lights and workstation dividers.

The workstation dividers

The workstation dividers have a custom-designed Gatsby Arch, which is laser cut within the divider itself. The pattern was actually designed from scratch by us and is an iconic art-deco feature, which helps to add that special touch to the overall workspace area

Curved glass wall to maximise space

Another feature within the design is the existing curved glass wall. Prior to the fitout, this room had been blocked off, so it was never really used. By opening up the entire space, the curved glass became its own incredible feature. We added a Chesterfield sofa accompanied by a cowhide rug underfoot and some irregular hung brass and glass pendant lights to really finish it off.

Our Consultant and Designer will meet with you to discuss your business fitout needs fitout and get a clear perspective on your vision. We will discuss your requirements and what challenges you are currently facing with your workspace; whether it’s a size issue, a functionality improvement or simply a workspace update, we will work with you to find the most suitable commercial office fitout solution for your requirements and budget.

We prepare a proposal based on the brief from the initial meeting where we will go through the plan and the look and feel of the proposed business fitout project. This is where we get feedback from you so we can proceed to the next step. We offer cost effective solutions for an affordable fitout, so your budget is always top of mind.

Costs are agreed upon in this stage and the outline of the project is discussed including timelines. We will organise all relevant permits to be approved and issue you with a final Construction Set, Fixtures and Finishes Schedule and a Project Schedule.

We carefully source and recruit the right contractors for each fitout construction job. We work with our team of Designers and suppliers to ensure consistency across the look and feel of the project, and conduct weekly site visits with you so you can check in on the agreed design and look of your fitout, and see how it’s all coming together.

At completion, we handover to you after ensuring you’ve had a thorough walk through of the new space and make sure you are happy with your completed project. We continue to work with you to take care of any additional needs and ensure they are resolved in readiness for your relocation.
